FAITH

Abraham called by God

Then the Lord said to Abram: “Depart from your land, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, and come into the land that I will show you.

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and magnify your name, and you will be blessed.
I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
And so Abram departed just as the Lord had instructed him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
And he took his wife Sarai, and Lot, the son of his brother, and all the substance which they had come to possess, and the lives which they had acquired in Haran, and they departed in order to go to the land of Canaan. And when they arrived in it,
Abram passed through the land even to the place of Shechem, as far as the famous steep valley. Now at that time, the Canaanite was in the land.
Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and he said to him, “To your offspring, I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
And passing on from there to a mountain, which was opposite the east of Bethel, he pitched his tent there, having Bethel to the west, and Hai on the east. He also built an altar there to the Lord, and he called upon his name.

The Faith of the Fathers

Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not apparent.

For this reason, the ancients were given testimony. By faith, we understand the world to be fashioned by the Word of God, so that the visible might be made by the invisible. By faith, Abel offered to God a much better sacrifice than that of Cain, through which he obtained testimony that he was just, in that God offered testimony to his gifts. And through that sacrifice, he still speaks to us, though he is dead.
By faith, Enoch was transferred, so that he would not see death, and he was not found because God had transferred him. For before he was transferred, he had testimony that he pleased God.
But without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever approaches God must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who seek him.
By faith, Noah, having accepted an answer about those things which were not yet seen, being afraid, fashioned an ark for the salvation of his house. Through the ark, he condemned the world, and was established as the heir of the justice that occurs through faith.
By faith, the one called Abraham obeyed, going out to the place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
By faith, he stayed in the Land of the Promise as if in a foreign land, dwelling in cottages, with Isaac and Jacob, co-heirs of the same promise.
For he was awaiting a city having firm foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
By faith also, Sarah herself, being barren, received the ability to conceive offspring, even though she was past that age in life. For she believed him to be faithful, who had promised.
Because of this, there were also born, from one who himself was as if dead, a mulititude like the stars of heaven, who are, like the sand of the seashore, innumerable.
All of these passed away, adhering to faith, not having received the promises, yet beholding them from afar and saluting them, and confessing themselves to be sojourners and guests upon the earth.
For those who speak in this way are themselves indicating that they seek a homeland.
And if, indeed, they had been mindful of the very place from which they departed, they certainly would have returned in time.
But now they hunger for a better place, that is, Heaven. For this reason, God is not ashamed to be called their God. For he has prepared a city for them.
By faith, Abraham, when he was tested, offered Isaac, so that he who had received the promises was offering up his only son.
To him, it was said, “Through Isaac, shall your offspring be summoned,” indicating that God is even able to raise up from the dead. And thus, he also established him as a parable.
By faith, also, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, concerning future events.
By faith, Jacob, as he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph; and he reverenced the summit of his rod.
By faith, Joseph, as he was dying, recalled the departure of the sons of Israel, and gave a commandment concerning his bones.
By faith, Moses, after being born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they had seen that he was a graceful infant, and they did not fear the king’s edict.
By faith, Moses, after growing up, denied himself a place as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing to be afflicted with the people of God, rather than to have the pleasantness of sin for a time, valuing the reproach of Christ to be a greater wealth than the treasures of the Egyptians. For he looked forward to his reward.
By faith, he abandoned Egypt, not dreading the animosity of the king. For he pressed on, as if seeing him who is unseen.
By faith, he celebrated the Passover and the shedding of the blood, so that he who destroyed the firstborn might not touch them.
By faith, they crossed the Red Sea, as if on dry land, yet when the Egyptians attempted it, they were swallowed up.
By faith, the walls of Jericho collapsed, after being encircled for seven days.
By faith, Rahab, the harlot, did not perish with the unbelievers, after receiving the spies with peace.

Faith, promise and inheritance

Because of this, it is from faith according to grace that the Promise is ensured for all posterity, not only for those who are of the law, but also for those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all before God, in whom he believed, who revives the dead and who calls those things that do not exist into existence. For it is written: “I have established you as the father of many nations.”

And he believed, with a hope beyond hope, so that he might become the father of many nations, according to what was said to him: “So shall your posterity be.”
And he was not weakened in faith, nor did he consider his own body to be dead (though he was then almost one hundred years old), nor the womb of Sarah to be dead.
And then, in the Promise of God, he did not hesitate out of distrust, but instead he was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, knowing most fully that whatever God has promised, he is also able to accomplish.
And for this reason, it was reputed to him unto justice.
Now this has been written, that it was reputed to him unto justice, not only for his sake, but also for our sake. For the same shall be reputed to us, if we believe in him who raised up our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, who was handed over because of our offenses, and who rose again for our justification.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, let us be at peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.
For through him we also have access by faith to this grace, in which we stand firm, and to glory, in the hope of the glory of the sons of God.

Jesus source of faith

Furthermore, since we also have so great a cloud of witnesses over us, let us set aside every burden and sin which may surround us, and advance, through patience, to the struggle offered to us.

Let us gaze upon Jesus, as the Author and the completion of our faith, who, having joy laid out before him, endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and who now sits at the right hand of the throne of God.
So then, meditate upon him who endured such adversity from sinners against himself, so that you may not become weary, failing in your souls.
For you have not yet resisted unto blood, while striving against sin.

Saved by faith

It is just as it was written: “Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him unto justice.”
Therefore, know that those who are of faith, these are the sons of Abraham.
Thus Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold to Abraham: “All nations shall be blessed in you.”
And so, those who are of faith shall be blessed with faithful Abraham.
For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it has been written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things that have been written in the book of the Law, so as to do them.”
And, since in the law no one is justified with God, this is manifest: “For the just man lives by faith.”
But the law is not of faith; instead, “he who does these things shall live by them.”
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, since he became a curse for us. For it is written: “Cursed is anyone who hangs from a tree.”
This was so that the blessing of Abraham might reach the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, in order that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The Incarnation of Jesus Christ sanctifies marriage:

The Incarnation is mistery of God, the baby in Mary's womb is concrete and living created from pure Spirit of Love.

sabato 7 luglio 2012

“Mary, the womb of God”

Song of the Virgin

 “Spirit of my God, Holy Spirit,
you light my heart
and turn on all my senses
and wrap me up with your warm embrace, that touches me inside until thousand shivers run through me,
Spirit of my God,
I love you,
Spirit of God,
thus the way you come to me is so new,
and now this knowledge of you so new,
 I love you, Holy Spirit,
now, it is so new this feeling inside of me,
so new this  Love for you,
so new this experience to me,
so real this new beginning ,
that you have placed in my womb, this dawn that you have put inside me, this  fruit that you are weaving within.
Since chills un through me
and all my body trembles in You,
and opens to your Love,
abandons to your Will,
and rejoices into happiness and the joy of Your Love.”

… milk and honey flow into your Land, o Lord…
“In the Land of my Lord milk and honey flow in abundance, in the garden of my Lord everything is lush, rivers of milk and honey and ripe figs. The Land of my Lord is full of fruits of pleasure, the grain is ripe, the fruits are ripe, the Land of my Lord is rich, the trees are lush, the delights  of the Lord are to be enjoyed , all around Him a fragrance, strong and pervasive that stuns…”

Mary is the  womb of God, the place where God has chosen to Be, Mary is all womb of God because Mary is the most intimate and hidden part of God, she is the mother of God and is God's maternity donated to us. It's God that becomes our mother through Mary, through Mary's womb, God that has filled of Holy Spirit Mary, so much, that we see Him flow through her, we see Him give Himself as mother, through her, through her womb. And it is Mary who is entruste with the task to show the Father's motherhood, we can see it in her, we see in Mary the Father that becomes mother, the Father who embraces us through the arms of Mary, that looks for us through her, that comforts us as a mother does through her. Because she is one with God.

"For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land - a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive and honey."(Dt. 8,7)

… God has made a masterpiece of her womb …

… God has made a throne out of her womb, a throne of wisdom, a tabernacle, the tabernacle of the Eternal Glory, He has made a womb from which he reclaimed and recreated all his children in the Spirit, from this womb we reborn into Spirit following the footsteps of the Son, from this womb we reborn into the Spirit through the Cross. From her womb comes Salvation, because if we do not pass through her womb and through the Cross we cannot be regenerated children of His Son, reborn into the Spirit. The womb of Mary welcomes you and escorts you while you carry your cross on the via Dolorosa up to your death and resurrection and everything happens within her womb. Through death to ourselves and the cross, we regain life inside the womb of Mary, but this time the Eternal Life that the Father gives us through her womb. Because inside her was enclosed the Fountain of Life, inside her took shape Salvation and still today Mary works this in us. Even today, she conceives and gives birth to children of God. Newborn from Salvation, Children that even from this world can enjoy the joys of heaven, holy children, children dead and resurrected in God, children able to enjoy the immensity of God's gifts.

"A land where ... you will lack nothing ... and you will praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you"(Dt 8,10)

… it is the garden of God …
The womb of Mary is God's garden, a place of pleasure, paradise, fertile country, oasis, the nursery of God. In her every fruit is mature, each tree is blooming, everything is plenty, in her all is fullness, the fullness of God that filled her with His graces. It is the garden where all fruit is ripe, and ready to be collected, to be donated and eaten, the fruit of the fullness of God in him.

"I bud forth delights like a vine; my blossoms are glorious and rich fruit. Come to me, all who desire me, and be filled with my fruits." (Si 24, 14-19)

“in which he has enclosed the Fountain of Life”
 Source, from which flows the water that gives life, through which flows the water that quenches thirst, the water of the graces of God, given by Him, and for which we will never be thirsty for more. Source of grace and hope. Through her all the Graces pass, fountain from which we draw, and from which water flows in abundance of grace, unquenchable fountain. Continuously filled by the graces of God, never exhausted, never barren, never draught and sterile, but always alive, always gushing, always filled with water that refreshes and invigorates, giving new force. "At a saying His mouths are open the tanks of water ..." and in her water flows in abundance because God fills her steadily with the ocean of His grace, His love, His joy, His peace, His Mercy, to donate and pour on earth among men.

“cultivated land

... land of God, His land, which he has cultivated with love and upon which he built his plan of salvation. A land that has never betrayed him, that was never crowned herself with glory, which has never proclaimed herself above God, whom never announced other than the Word of God, whom never communicated other truths than those of God, but that has been perfectly obedient, perfectly productive, fruitful, she  has been the land where the Word of God has sprouted, bloomed, it blossomed, the land which has accepted, and that remained humble, respectful and simple, modest. Glorifying the Lord for the greatness of the gifts and privileges received, for the great things done in her by the Almighty God, to her pure, clear cascades of water flowing from her womb. Mediatrix of all graces, she now appeals to her children and is more pressing than ever, she continues to come and visit us and everytime here on earth she takes with her a piece of Paradise, she narrates to us Paradise.

throne of Glory
And 'she continues to come to visit us taking with her here on earth the paradise we have lost, explaining to us Heaven, with all herself, just a few words that all can uderstand, simple words that open the gate of Heaven, simple words that are the key to open ourselves to salvation: "PRAY, PRAY," "Would you like to give to God all your sufferings He wants to send you in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and to demand the conversion of sinners ? she said to the little shepherds of Fatima. "Come my children, do not be afraid I'm here to tell you a great news," she said at La Salette in tears. "If my people do not want to submit themselves to God, I will be forced to let go the arm of my Son. It is so strong and so heavy that I can no longer hold it, "" For how long I have been suffering for you! "" If I want that my son will not desert you, I am responsible to pray incessantly for you and you do not notice it. All of your prayers and all of your dids will never compensate the pain I carry within me,for you".

Hymn of Praise to the Creator
(Sirach  39,12)

"Once more I will set forth my theme

to shine like the moon in its fullness!

Listen to me, my faithful children: open up your petals,

like roses planted near running waters;

Send up the sweet odor of incense,

break forth in blossoms like the lily.

Raise your voices in a chorus of praise;

bless the Lord for all his works!

Proclaim the greatness of his name,

loudly sing his praises,

With music on the harp and all stringed instruments;

sing out with joy as you proclaim:

The works of God are all of them good;

he supplies for every need in its own time.

At his word the waters become still as in a flask;

he had but to speak and the reservoirs were made.

He has but to command and his will is done;

nothing can limit his saving action.

The works of all humankind are present to him;

nothing is hidden from his eyes.

His gaze spans all the ages:

is there any limit to his saving action?

To him, nothing is small or insignificant,

and nothing too wonderful or hard for him.

No cause then to say: “What is the purpose of this?”

Everything is chosen to satisfy a need.

22His blessing overflows like the Nile;

like the Euphrates it enriches the surface of the earth.

Even so, his wrath dispossesses the nations

and turns fertile land into a salt marsh.

For the virtuous his paths are level,

to the haughty they are clogged with stones.

Good things for the good he provided from the beginning,

but for the wicked good things and bad.

Chief of all needs for human life

are water and fire, iron and salt,

The heart of the wheat, milk and honey,

the blood of the grape, and oil, and clothing.

For the good all these are good,

but for the wicked they turn out evil.

There are stormwinds created to punish;

in their fury they can dislodge mountains.

In a time of destruction they hurl their force

and calm the anger of their Maker.

Fire and hail, famine and disease:

these too were created for punishment.

Ravenous beasts, scorpions, vipers,

and the avenging sword to exterminate the wicked:

All these were created to meet a need,

and are kept in his storehouse for the proper time.

When he commands them, they rejoice,

in their assigned tasks they do not disobey his command.

That is why from the first I took my stand,

and wrote down as my theme:

The works of God are all of them good;

he supplies for every need in its own time.

There is no cause then to say: “This is not as good as that”;

for each shows its worth at the proper time.

So now with full heart and voice proclaim
and bless his name!

The Holy Icon of Santa Maria della Vena

"You have not yet resisted unto blood in your struggle against sin" (Heb. 12: 4)

In the Sanctuary of Vena (Piedimonte Etneo, Sicily), on February 6, 1865 a massive lava flow, starting from Monte Sertorius, had arrived in the district of "Girotto" and threatened village of Vena, having arrived at less than a kilometer from the Sanctuary.

Imagine the panic and fear of the inhabitants of Vena. Yet in those good and fervent Christians was not lose hope: they resorted to Our Lady, Mother of God almighty, and carried in procession proceeded towards the lava threatening death and destruction, not the Holy Icons, but a statue of the Virgin itself, which was worshiped in the Sanctuary, followed by a picture of St.Gregory. On a local newspaper a reporter wrote: “At evening twilight the reddish reflections of that immense and hot river formed in that portion sky something similar to a lake of blood." Rev. Canton, who had preceded his followers, climbed a boulder protruding, which served him as pulpit, and from there he urged the Mother of God, once again, among sobs and faithful prayers of repentance and trusting in MarySuddenly, a furious wind came the newspaper quotes "that dreadful vortex strip on the burning lava up to invest the statue of the Madonna, burning her face. A cry of pity and mercy rises spontaneously from the crowd! ... After a few seconds everything it’s back to calm and the lava, as stopped by a omnipotent and invisible hand stops at the moment. The wonder, the great and undeniable miracle, had been obtained: these good people were again masters of their small vineyards and their houses. "

This historical episode taken from the Chronicles of the Sanctuary helps to revive, modernize and re-read the apocalypse, fighting, aggression against the virgin.

The people are appalled to see with his own eyes the revolt of nature against God but a moment, then everything goes back to his place and the Virgin of Tenderness shows us that our mother is ready to throw her into the fire while removing us, his children from all the fires threatening us and attack us. Ready to burn her but to liberate us.
